Hello,
We are MERLAINE from Fribourg and have been performing live since last year. We released our first EP in September 2025.
For resource reasons, we are looking for someone who can replace our current lead guitarist on a long-term basis and who can identify with the band. Rehearsals take place every two weeks in Fribourg. We simply enjoy playing, especially live. We are emotional and intuitive people, feminist, uncomplicated, and peaceful. And we are ready to rock :-)!
Our genre is hard to describe because we don’t want to be put into a box. We are fans of analogue style, simple but with depth and love to create our own sound. Sometimes we also like going psychedelic cause we are highly inspired by the 197ies. This is why we call our genre Fringe-Rock ;-).
Ideally, you also enjoy Americana, Country, Blues, and Rock music and know a bit about the sound so that you can give us that final glow with your solos/sounds. If you can play the bottleneck or even lap steel guitar and are having fun with effects and sounds you are more than welcome! Of course, you can also contribute to the songs and the writing process.
