Prog/operatic Metal Band from Zurich looking for Drummer Zürich

Hello humans (and birds)!

We are 13th Warbler, an operatic prog metal band from Zurich composed by 5 (vocal, 8-string guitar, bass, keyboard, drums) international people (Swiss, German, American, Brazilian, South African, Chilean – yes, some double nationalities :D) ranging from 28 to 37 years old. Our drummer is unfortunately moving away soon, so we are looking for a new drummer.

The band formed in 2023, but only towards the end of 2024 that we put much more effort to it. We write our own music where we like to mix elements, change time signatures and explore the contrast of heavy instrumentals with the soprano voice of our singer. We have three songs released (see our socials in the end) and we are recording others to release an album with 13 original songs in 2026. We are also trying to get to play in small festivals in Switzerland and Germany for next summer.

Musically, our new drummer needs to be able to play with double bass and play in odd signatures. We like to mix many ideas, so if you are a creative person that likes to explore different musicalities, even better. We are not professionals (we all have our jobs outside of music), but we have all the plans listed above, so it would be cool if you are also motivated to develop with us and has some time to dedicate to the band. Personally, we are open, diverse mix of people (as you can imagine by all the nationalities), so if you are open, like metal and like to play music, there are big chances we will vibe 😀
